Count On Veronica

Good customer service is the lifeblood of any business. Good customer service is all about bringing customers back for more business and sending them away satisfied. The essence of good customer service is forming a relationship with customers – a relationship that that individual customer feels that he would like to pursue.

For this month’s newsletter CTL would like to highlight one of our fantastic customer service representatives, Veronica Alvarez. Veronica has been working at CTL Global for over 3 years. Currently, Veronica heads up the Promoworks account as the account manager.

Before working as an account manager, Veronica started at CTL Global on the kitting lines. During her time on the kitting lines, Veronica worked as a line leader and checked kits for quality. After one month of doing quality control and kitting, Veronica became more interested in the logistics side of CTL Global’s business. With Adriana and Hortencia’s help, Veronica learned the ropes quickly! After a few months, Michelle and Adriana brought Veronica into the logistics operations team to assist with our Promoworks account. Veronica’s energy and passion to be a successful customer service representative blossomed into the work she is doing today.

Veronica is a perfect example why our customers can “count on us.”  Veronica constantly reminds her customers that she is “only one call away.” Veronica try’s to keep her emails consistent, by highlighting our company slogan (count on us) and reassuring that our clients should keep their minds at ease because we are logistics experts. Veronica try’s to respond to every email she receives from a client, even if we don’t have an answer. Veronica feels that it is important to acknowledge every comment a customer might have, and this works! Customers have responded with incredible feedback such as, “You guys certainly go above and beyond and I appreciate it! and “you guys rock!” Veronica says that she is able to be very responsive because of her ability to prioritize her work.

Veronica’s energy and passion to be a great customer service representative truly encompasses CTL Global’s philosophy to always be the company that our clients can count on. If you would like to learn more about Veronica’s work at CTL please email her at valvarez@CTLGlobalSolutions.com.

Driver of the Month

In 2010, truck drivers helped move over 87% of the total value of goods in this country. Over 10 million people, or 1 in 14 American workers, are directly or indirectly employed by the trucking industry. Without truck drivers the nation comes to a stop. Transportation introduces a new segment to our monthly newsletter edition called, “Driver of the month.” In this section we will be recognizing drivers who simply give it their all. This will give CTL the opportunity to learn more about the people who literally put the “wheels in motion.” Every month we will highlight a different Transportation Solutions driver for their great work!

We would like to award our first “Driver of the Month” award to Gonzalo Pineros #626. Gonzalo has been with CTL Global since 2004. Gonzalo is a very courteous drive. Not only does he deliver, but he carries a great vibe with customers and everyone who surrounds him in his daily route. His positive attitude has been acknowledged by many customers throughout the years. Gonzalo takes his job very seriously. Professionalism, satisfaction and punctuality are some of the many traits he carries in the work area. Continental would like to give a big thanks to Gonzalo Pineros for going the extra mile. Gonzalo was always flexible with his schedule and helped other with their routes without hesitation. CTL can truly state Gonzalo Pineros carries our company slogan, “Count on Us.”

Leading the Way

Nicole Nunzito has worked for CTL for the past 5 years. For the past 2 1/2 years Nicole has worked in Arkansas, on-site, with the Shopper Events Client Services Team on behalf of CTL . About a year and a half ago, Nicole began to research volunteer opportunities in her community. She decided to get involved with SARPA – Sexual Assault Recovery and Prevention Agency, a non-profit organization in Northwest Arkansas. According to Nicole; she chose this organization because “she admired their mission and the help that is given to victims.”

Nicole’s work with SARPA began by committing to being “on-call” a few nights a month between 4:30 p.m. and 8:00a.m. This included staffing the #800 crisis and referral lines and, if needed, escorting a victim to a hospital or clinic for a rape exam. After a year of volunteering Nicole began to help with the annual SARPA fundraiser. The 2010 event raised over $15,000; allowing the continuation of the 24 hour crisis line, expansion of education efforts within the community and has allowed SARPA to add additional support groups for those affected. During this time, Nicole was able to become better acquainted with the board and its policies. Recently, she ran for Vice President and was elected. This position works hand-in-hand with the board president to create and maintain policies and to fundraise, among many other responsibilities.

According to Nicole, “besides being an incredible honor and privilege to serve on the SARPA board” she feels that by having great exposure to other local non-profits, civic leaders, medical professionals and small business owners, has enabled her “learn a ton about running a business and managing people”.

We’re very proud of the compassion and dedication Nicole has shown to this important and very worthwhile organization. If you are interested in learning more about opportunities to volunteer at an organization like SARPA, you can contact your local police department ; they can refer you to an organization where you can make a difference.

SARPA is devoted to providing a full range of free sexual assault survivor services to adults. SARPA provides a private community based clinic where a survivor can receive support, advocacy, education, referrals and a medical exam by a certified Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) who is specifically trained to work with survivors to gather evidence for police and prosecution. This 24/7 program is an alternative to going to a hospital or other medical clinic. All services are available are free of charge and available in Spanish. SARPA also educates the people in Northwest Arkansas about the dangers and effects of sexual assault.
